I have done a few articles here that go into the specifics a bit more about how I make my kits.
There is a lot of information out there about Computer Aided Design and 3d printing, but not a lot of information about how specifically to use those technologies to make model kits. And it does have to be a modular kit – any digital model of anything like a vehicle or piece of machinery will be a 3d disaster if it is in one piece!
Hopefully I will add more to this as I am able. I’m also very happy to answer questions from 3d makers looking for advice. But before you ask – I’m afraid my digital models aren’t for sale at present!
